Before your first application begins Pestguard will arrange to inspect your property for visual deficiencies and collect soil samples to be analyzed. Because each and every treatment application is unique to your properties needs, every application will be slightly different. Below is a basic outline for most treatments. 
- An inspection of your shrubs is performed by our highly trained technicians.
- Our custom blended granular shrub fertilizer is applied six times per year ensuring that each shrub receives the proper amount of fertilizer. Our fertilizer has all the macro and micro nutrients necessary to promote healthy new root growth and blooms on blooming shrubs.
- After the fertilizer application, fertilizer and other small debris are removed from the concrete surfaces such as the driveway, sidewalks and roadway .
- Shrubs are treated with a horticultural spray oil and a systemic insecticide to control shrub damaging insects
- A broad spectrum fungicide is applied when necessary to prevent or control damaging fungi.

Mulches can benefit the healthy growth of our landscapes by reducing water loss around the root balls of newly planted trees & shrubs. They suppress weeds in planting beds to reduce both labor and the use of chemicals to keep beds clean. Soil temperatures around plant roots will stay more constant under a layer of mulch.
New mulch installation can be included in any Service Program.
